WILLIAM G. FORERO

Will graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 2018. Will began his legal career as a paralegal in a plaintiff’s firm that represented parents of children who had suffered lead poisoning from old paint in their homes. In his first year of law school, Will interned at the Long Island Advocacy Center where he assisted attorneys in their representation of parents of children with special needs. The Long Island Advocacy Center advocated for these children to receive the educational programming they needed. He also worked for the New York Legal Assistance Group as an intern in the Public Benefits Unit. In this capacity, he helped low income New Yorkers with their public assistance, including SNAP benefits, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security Disability Insurance. He provided his clients with the information they needed, helped them apply for benefits, and represented them at Fair Hearings. At St. John’s he was also a Senior Staff Writer for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development, which helped him hone his research and writing skills. In his final year of law school he interned for a major insurance carrier where he gained valuable knowledge about the inner workings of insurance companies and the strategy they employ in defending their claims.
